Frequently asked questions about the online consultation
An online consultation with me follows a clearly structured process that is guided by your individual needs:
- Initial case history: In a first conversation by video call or telephone, I take the time to discuss your symptoms, your medical history and your personal goals in detail.
- Laboratory diagnostics: In consultation with you, I arrange specific laboratory tests in order to better understand the causes of your symptoms. The laboratory services are billed directly between you and the laboratory.
- Discussion of findings: As soon as the laboratory results are available, we discuss them in detail. I explain the findings to you in an understandable way and derive targeted therapeutic approaches from them.
- Therapy plan in three steps: Based on the results, I draw up an individual three-step therapy plan, which can include dietary adjustment, targeted micronutrient therapy, herbal preparations and naturopathic measures.
- Follow-up appointments: During the therapy, regular follow-up appointments take place in order to review progress and, where necessary, make adjustments.
- Closing consultation: At the end of the therapy there is a closing consultation, in which we reflect on how things have gone and discuss further recommendations.
In addition, you have the option of getting in touch by email if you have brief follow-up questions. This creates holistic, transparent and effective care – flexible and convenient from home.
IBS therapy often involves a combination of dietary adjustment, stress management, probiotics and individually tailored naturopathic therapies – following appropriate laboratory diagnostics.
Simply leaving foods out is often confusing and rarely leads to clear results. In my practice, however, various food tests are available to you, so that you can find out specifically which foods are causing symptoms. As there are different forms of allergy and intolerance (e.g. histamine, lactose, fructose, gluten), targeted diagnostics are crucial. In a conversation together we clarify which test makes the most sense for your individual situation and which next steps follow. In this way you gain clarity and a sound basis for your nutritional therapy.
